Reginald FULLER was born on 17th January 1917 (Newmarket Q1-1917 3B:732), son of Julia Annie FULLER (daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Hannah FULLER of 3 Jockey Club Cottages, Lacey's Lane, Exning) who married William McKENNA in 1927.
He was a farm labourer, mother's address on his PoW card is 11 Victoria Terrace,Laceys Lane, Exning. That address was where the 1939 register has the family. Step father William McKenna [8-6-1889] a blacksmith/ fireman; mother Julia A [24-8-1895]; half sister Elizabeth Anne McKENNA[31-8-1927] later Mrs LAKE) and half brother William H.McKENNA [7-6-1925]. There are 2 closed records.


He was taken prisoner at the surrender of Singapore on the 15th February 1942. He died of dysentry on the Burma Railway at Tonchan, Thailand, whilst a prisoner of war of the Japanese.
"Battalion at War" ( a detailed account of the 1st Battalion in Singapore) reports his death as 29th January 1944.

Reginald was originally buried at Tonchan Main Cemetery, he was re-interred in February 1946
in Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, Thailand... Ref: 8.C.14
